BEER INSTITUTE RELEASES OCTOBER 2017 DOMESTIC TAX PAID ESTIMATE

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for October 2017: The October 2017 estimate is 13,726,000 barrels, an increase of 5.6% versus October 2016 removals of 12,998,000. Please note that the estimates reflect revised estimates released by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

WASHINGTON, DC – Today the Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for September 2017: The September 2017 domestic tax paid estimate is 14,426,000 barrels. September 2016 removals were 15,175,000 barrels, for a decrease of 4.9%. Please note that the estimates reflect revised estimates released by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

Beer Institute Names Senators Blunt and Wyden and Representatives Kind and Paulsen 2017 Beer Champions

WASHINGTON, DC–At a ceremony yesterday evening at the U.S. Capitol, the Beer Institute announced that United States Senators Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) as well as Representatives Ron Kind (D-WI) and Erik Paulsen (R-MN) have been chosen as the Beer Institute’s “2017 Beer Champions.” They were selected for their leadership in championing the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act (S.236/H.R. 747), comprehensive and bipartisan legislation that provides fair and equitable reform of the federal excise tax on beer.

 Requests chain restaurants list calories for each brand of alcohol beverage served WASHINGTON, D.C. AUGUST 3, 2017 – Today, the Beer Institute, an industry trade association whose members include domestic brewers of all sizes as well as beer importers and beer industry suppliers, announced that it submitted comments to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the extension of the compliance date for the final rule, Nutrition Labeling of Standard Menu Items in Restaurants and Similar Retail Food Establishments, to May 7, 2018.
