Imported beer comprises nearly 18% of all beer consumed in the United States and exports of domestically produced beer have become an increasingly important part of the industry as well. The Beer Institute works closely with the U.S. Department of Commerce in order to track the volume of beer brought into the U.S. and shipped out of the U.S. to inform our members and the public on the performance of this critical segment of the category.
The reports below are produced on a monthly basis and typically posted in the first week of the second month following the month being reported. They include the total volume of regular beer, non-alcoholic beer and cider imported into and exported from the United States by country.
