Amelia Chaves, Senior Director, Supply Chain Planning at HEINEKEN USA, was honored with a Best in Brew Honors 2025 award.

Amelia Chaves joined HEINEKEN USA (HUSA) in 2000 as a sales analyst and transitioned to a supply chain role in 2014 after several commercial roles. Throughout her 25-year career at HUSA, she has played a pivotal role in transforming HUSA’s supply chain into one of the most advanced and professional within the global HEINEKEN Group.

Amelia has consistently prioritized the overall business interest, and emerged as one of the most well-rounded professionals in the organization, combining commercial, supply chain and financial expertise.

She has also demonstrated remarkable versatility, succeeding in any role and with any team she has been part of or led. Critically, she advocates for respect and recognition, setting an example and encouraging others to share positive feedback.

In addition, Amelia has exhibited strong resilience during numerous supply chain crises — including COVID-19, brewery closures, ocean freight disruptions, the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore and tariff-related issues. Under pressure, Amelia remains composed, relying on facts to make prompt and effective decisions.

Her dedication to community involvement with the College of Westchester in White Plains, New York is also notable. There, she teaches operations management, project management, finance and marketing.

Additionally, she volunteers with Operation PROM (a national nonprofit organization that helps low-income students attend their proms by providing free prom dresses and tuxedos).

Amelia’s dedication and expertise have been invaluable to HUSA, and her contributions inspire those around her. HUSA is proud to honor her commitment to the company, her community and the beer industry.
