Matt Trim, Vice President, Global Operations at MicroStar Logistics, was honored with a Best in Brew Honors 2025 award.
Since joining MicroStar Logistics, Matt Trim has played a central role in MicroStar’s growth and evolution, helping the company provide expanded services to brewers of all sizes.
As vice president of operations, Matt led the startup of and now leads five new, state-of-the-art keg quality centers totaling nearly 1 million square feet in all. Millions of kegs flow through the quality centers, where they are inspected, repaired and maintained; cleaned inside and out and sent to brewers in line-ready condition.
As part of the design and buildout of these facilities, Matt’s teams worked with equipment partners to engineer industry-leading and, in many cases, first-of-their-kind technologies to ensure keg quality and expand the useful lifespans of reusable kegs. These services are performed on MicroStar’s fleet of ~6 million kegs as well as select brewer-owned kegs.
Matt built a best-in-class team drawing from talent across the beer industry and beyond. His teams consist of hundreds of dedicated, highly trained employees who operate as an extension of MicroStar’s brewery partners.
Most recently, Matt led the expansion of MicroStar’s flagship Texas facility and the startup of a new Arizona facility to manage Constellation’s conversion from wood pallets to reusable plastic pallets. These new pallet facilities feature equipment that automatically inspects plastic pallets and cleans and prepares them in line-ready condition.
His leadership, investment and innovation has resulted in an operation that is entirely new to the beer industry. Kegs and pallets are cleaner, are more reliable, have longer lifespans and are used by brewers more efficiently and sustainably than ever.
Matt is known for his even-keeled, straight-shooting style and his strength of character. Over his six years at MicroStar, brewers of all sizes have come to respect his expertise and collaborative approach.
