Beer Institute Statement on Repeal of Executive Order 14036

WASHINGTON — Today, the Beer Institute, the oldest national trade organization representing the beer industry, issued the following statement:

“The U.S. beer industry is a leading job creator and economic powerhouse, supporting 2.42 million American jobs and contributing $471 billion to the nation’s economy. Our highly competitive sector, which includes 10,000 permitted breweries, regularly contributes to local communities across the country. We commend President Trump for repealing Executive Order 14036 – Promoting Competition in the American Economy, which proposed adding new regulations on top of an already highly regulated industry and threatened to stifle American manufacturing and innovation.”
