Beer Institute Toasts Millions of Beer Jobs on Labor Day

Beer Institute Releases July 2021 Domestic Tax Paid Estimate

WASHINGTON – Today, the Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for July 2021: The July 2021 estimate is 14,400,000 barrels, a decrease of 6.4% compared to July 2020 removals of 15,385,000.

75% of Americans age 21 and older support nutrition labels on alcohol beverages   WASHINGTON – More than 95% of the beer volume sold by Anheuser-Busch, Molson Coors Beverage Company, Constellation Brands Beer Division, HEINEKEN USA, and FIFCO USA now voluntarily provides nutritional information, according to the results of an independent survey by John Dunham and Associates released today by the Beer Institute. No other alcohol segment can match the transparency these brewers and beer importers provide to consumers.

Beer Institute Releases June 2021 Domestic Tax Paid Estimate

Today, the Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid shipments by beer brewers for June 2021: The June 2021 estimate is 16,100,000 barrels, a decrease of 0.7% compared to June 2020 removals of 16,216,000.

Transparency in aluminum premium pricing essential for economic growth WASHINGTON –  Trade associations representing some of America’s top industries and employers today praised Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Tom Cotton (R-AR) for reintroducing the Aluminum Pricing Examination (APEX) Act, bipartisan legislation that would bring transparency to aluminum price reporting and provide stability for American workers and job creators. The legislation is identical to H.R. 2698, bipartisan legislation introduced in the House of Representatives in April.

As a reminder, the Beer Institute will update each month of 2020 as the TTB releases new 2021 monthly beer reports.
